Comparison between Malaysian and Singaporean consumer habits

There are lots of differences between Malaysian and Singaporean consumers in terms of retail habits. Singaporean consumers are more eco-friendly but Malaysians are not bothered about it. When they shop, Singaporeans are more concerned about the quality of products and good services. The other way around, Malaysians are more concerned about the cost of products and getting the best deal but not that concerned about the quality of products. Singaporean consumers also prefer and go for the comfort but Malaysian consumers more relaxed and not bothered about it. Besides that, Malaysians are not competitive and most of them like to buy normal priced items and home brands. Singaporeans, being more conscious about trends are inclined to buy branded goods. Moreover, Singaporeans are open-minded, for example, in Singapore have a varieties of outlet shops but Malaysians are opposite to Singaporean consumers and more traditional. This is shows that Singaporean consumers are adopt a more luxurious lifestyle but Malaysians are more traditional.
